Recently I finished this small banner for my youtube channel.
Just wondering what do you think?

It's my first time at designing a banner and I really want peoples thoughts on it.
Please though, nothing really harsh. I'm fine with suggestions though.

make it appear not through a link and ill critique it. give it some IMG tags

Changed the image to show as a image not a link :p


Change the font. I see that font all the time.

Other then that its good.


Not my cup of tea, but its good none the less.

I agree with alt, the font is quite easy to find and common, I used to see it a lot when I was taking graphics as a course, but I think it's quite good for a first banner.

I know the font is used a lot but still thanks for the comment.

not bad at all for a first! the font is a little weird just because you used some outer glow and stuff but hey text is a really hard part of design! it looks like you have the basics down so now id focus on reading tutorials on how to use effects (blending, brushes, gradient maps and colors, and also some other filters.) just keep practicing you'll get it! i couldn't tell you how many tutorials i did over and over until i got a good feel for how things are. good luck!

but for tutorials you can go to deviantart or any other graphics site they usually have great tutorials. i had a ton of them before but have been lost through hard drive moves :/ best of luck!
