My tv screen is going black also my pinnacle record screen. I can record with the double sided rca cables and splitter things but that quality sucks and i realy want to record with the s-video cable. Someone know how to fix this.

you have to change the setting frm pinnicle capture to dazzle dvc 100 its on the menu you should see it.

ur tv? i thought u meant the little screen on the computer. Dude take a pic of your set up cause if you are really trying to record yourps3 and not have anything plugged into the tv then wow.

so i need to take pictures op my tv and of my pc settings?

I dont know where the sound is but these are the settings im using:
Video: Dazzle dvc 100
Audio: Dazzle dvc 100
NTSC 16:9
AVI - Best
NTSC progessive widescreen

When i plug out my s- video cable my screen is turning normal?

Do i need to split my s-video cable too?

yes you need picture sourse going to your tv, if you recording s vid u need s vid going to your tv if you record composite u need composite to youre tv, the only way ull get away from splitting is if you can input and output the same scource so say your tv has s vid in and s vid out you wont need shitty splitters
