The Strategy
You start off in quite a large room with 4 windows, 2 of them are quite popular in the zombie world they are the ones on the opposite sides.
When one player has 2200+ points, and all of the other players have at least 950 each, the person with 2200+ will open the stairs, go down them, turn right and get a thompsom. All the others will then get a new gun from the mystery box and then you should wait for the hellhounds, getting new guns if necessary.
When the hellhounds come (which they will, on or at round 5,6 or 7) head to the mystery box. You will find a wall directly behind the mystery box, simply walk down the wall until you get to an opening. Enter the opening and you should then be on the other side of the wall – there’s one window there. Head down to the end of the short corridor behind the box, and keep your ironsights fixed on the corner. Note - The hellhounds are fast, so your sensitivity should be quite high so you can follow them when they run at you round the corner. You can tell when the hellhounds will stop coming because the last hellhound always drops a Max Ammo pickup only 75% chance.
Continue stacking up points and getting new guns from the mystery box – if necessary – until the teddy bear comes. Once the sequence is over with the mocking laughter and the flying teddy, head outside to the courtyard, look up and look in all the directions of the huts, there should be a golden-green light shining down on one of them – that’s where the mystery box will be. But first all you dummies think to go to the light. find the goddamn Juggernaut without it you have a big chance of losing youre good weapons. After you have Juggernaut
make your way towards the light , picking off zombies left-right-and-centre, whilst open the correct gate / fence to get to the hut in which the mystery box is in. Note – Avoid the swampy parts between the main hut and outer huts with perk machines, they slow you down but not the zombies and also you can’t sprint Open the door to the hut where the mystery box is in and, once again, stack up the points and get guns from the mystery box – if needed. When the box moves – you move, following the light.
That’s my basic strategy, I’m sure there’s quite a few mistakes in there and if I’ve got something wrong – let me know.
Now, for the fun bit:
The Characters
Tank Dempsey (USA) - The Toughnut. Tank's the type of guy you'd like to have on your side in a fight, he's brutal. Whoever is hosting this game, or whoever is Player 1, you're Tank Dempsey.
"Hey Takeo, if you keep shooting like that you'll be as badass as I am some day." (When Takeo scores a headshot while Dempsey can see)
"Go ahead Slackjaw, make my day!" (After obtaining a .357 Magnum)
"Those sure don't sound like freak-bags!" (When hearing a hellhound howl)
"Does there have to be a music Easter Egg in EVERY map?!" (When the Easter Egg (activating the telephone) is activated)
"limbs are gonna fly, and heads are gonna roll!"- When obtaining any a shotgun
"Woah Takeo, you've always been cut out to be a marine"
"Hey Richtofen, with that shootin' you could be a marine"
"Damn, I need to kill more freak-bags first" (When you don't have enough points to buy something)
"Runnin' low on gun-juice"
"KA-****IN'-BOOM FREAK BAGS!"
"I'm gonna need a clip soon"
"I LOVE ME!"
"He's a lot prettier without a head!"
Nikolai Belinski (RUSSIA) - The Psycho. "Stalin himself cannot stare Nikolai in the eye, no one can. For in his eyes you see the soul of a man burning with a hatred of all things living. His closet is full of skeletons, many of them with the flesh still attached" Y-y-yeah... He's a psycho. Just keep away from his vodka.
"It would taste better if I mixed it with vodka" (When drinking a perk bottle)
"No ammo, I'm going for a drink." (When completely out of ammo)
"Can't a Soviet get some ammo?" (When out of ammo)
"I need more money. Why can't we share?" (When you don't have enough points to buy something)
"Who do you think you are, ****ing Rasputin? Stay dead this time!" (When a zombie is killed (by him)
"Ah, the same weapon I used to kill my first wife. She was a bitch!" (When a Double-Barrelled Shotgun is obtained)
"Ahh, my old friend! how I have missed you!" (When obtained an MG from the mystery box)
"Stay away from my Vodka!" (When a zombie / hellhound is killed)
"Just what we needed, although some vodka would be nice." (When Max Ammo is obtained)
"Keep that fire away from my vodka!"
"Holy shit, did you see that ****ing head come apart?!"
"I need more bullets!"
"I'm running low here!"
"Now you see them! Now you don't!"
"Big deal. Don't get all bullshovic (SP?) about it you dog"
"For the revolution!"
"I will kill them all with this!" (When activating the flogger)
"I'm almost out of vodka - I mean ammo!"
Takeo Masaki (JAPAN) - I don't know much about him. He's bringing honor to his name? "When the family first saw the young, life-filled 5 year old Takeo playing in the street with his Katana and slicing the tails off terrified kittens, they knew he was destined to bring honor to the Masaki name."
"My death would have been honorable!" (When revived)
"The emperor has given us a BOUNTY of ammo!" (When Max Ammo is obtained)
"For the Emperor!" (When any MG is obtained)
"****, you will pay!" (When revived)
"Yooouu felt my POWER!"
Doctor Richtofen (GERMANY) - "Beware The Doc. This message was scrawled across walls of every Prisoner of War camp under Axis control. Starvation may cripple you, dysentery may wreck you, and gunfire may rip the flesh from your bones, but Beware The Doc." He's a butcher. He chops up people. He's sick Grin. I found this quite funny: "He has a collection of stuffed animals, most of them posed in positions of terror at the instant of their death."
"I am out of bullets. All I have is my knife. And that means more BLOOD!" (When completely out of ammo)
"His head is gone! SUCH JOY!" (When a headshot is scored (by him))
"I feel like DANCING!" (When Speed Cola (Sleight of Hand) is obtained)
"The Wunderwaffe DG-2! My greatest invention!" (When the Wunderwaffe DG-2 is obtained)
"The service to the illumanti can continue!" (When revived)
"Excellent! Vacili (SP?) would be proud." (When PTRS-41 is obtained from the mystery box)
"I don't need to be paid for such pleasure!"
"We are re-filled!!" (When Max Ammo is obtained)
"Help me friends! I need ammo!"
"His head came off! How beautiful!
"DISMEMBERMENT! SUCH FUN!"
"Did you see the fountain of blood?! How beautiful!
The Weapons
Additions
* It's the first Zombie map in Call of Duty: World at War with the availability to go outside without glitching or cheating.
* It's also the first Zombie map in Call of Duty: World at War with trophies / achievements.
* The Flogger - a large trap that costs 1000 points to activate. It's a pair of spiked logs attached to wooden beams that spin and hits zombies, it's very effective but I'm not sure how long it lasts until it de-activates. Also, the flogger can't hurt you if you're in prone (lying down) and it also doesn't hurt "crawlers" zombies that have had their legs blown off
* A Zipline - Found at the top of the main hut. To activate it you must first unlock the Doctor's Quarters and activate it from the usual red box with a lever. I think it costs 1500 points to activate it. It takes you to the Doctor's Quarters to the top of the main hut but watch out - check if there's a huge swarm of zombies down there or you'll get swamped .
* The Wunderwaffe DG-2 (Available from the mystery box).
* The Colt.45 (Aside from starting with it, it is available from the mystery box.
* The Type 100 (Available from the mystery box and off the wall in the Storage Room for 1000 points)
* Arisaka (Available off the wall in the starting room for 200 points or from the mystery box)
* 4 different playable characters.
* The zombies walk differently, almost like a samurai. Some also have hats.
* 4 additional huts outside the main huts, all with Electroshock Defenses available to turn on for 1000 points.
* Perk-A-Cola machines appear randomly in each of the huts when the door to the hut is unlocked
* This time, the zombies actually grab the wooden planks to enter the building, rather than waving their arms on the wall.
* Hellhounds. These are much bigger, faster and powerful than the normal dogs in Multiplayer. They spawn in random places every 4, 5, 6 or 7 rounds in blue orbs, almost like plasma or lightning. Some are normal dogs, but bigger and on fire and some follow the "zombie dog" look. Normal dogs, on fire but burnt and charred. To know when the hellhounds are coming, at the beginning of the round there will be a bang and something saying "fetch me their souls, smoke will fill the map and you will hear strange noises almost like wolves houling. You can be sure the last of them has spawned because the last one always drops Max Ammo.
The Huts
All of them have Perk-A-Cola machines, mystery box points and Electro-Shock Defenses. You must open a gate (1000 points) to get to the hut, and to open the door to the hut it'll cost you 750 points
Doctor's Quarters - Two windows that the zombies can break through. BAR available for purchase on the wall (1800 points). Zipline available but must be activated.
Comm (Communication) Room - There's an Easter Egg (telephone, hold square (PS3) or X (Xbox 360) to activate, gets the Dead Air Achievement / Trophy). StG-44 available to buy off the wall (1000 points?). Also, two windows that zombies can come in.
Fishing hut - This can be entered by opening the main gate in the courtyard of the main hut (with the flogger). MP40 abailable to buy off the wall for 1000 points and there are three windows in which the zombies can enter.
Storage Room - This room is great. There are 2 windows where the zombies can come in from, and there's a Type-100 available to purchase off the wall and may I recommend it. It's amazing on Shi No Numa, so if you're in a rush and don't want to wait for the mystery box sequence just grab this off the wall for 1000 points and see for yourself.
Main Hut - This is the starting hut, it's huge. There's only two things to unlock (staircase and door, both 1000 points) and there are two places where the mystery box can spawn, upstairs and downstairs.
Weapons available in the main hut and prices:
Arisaka - 200 points, starting room.
Gewehr 43 - 600 points, starting room.
Thompson - 1200 points, opposite downstairs mystery box.
M1897 Trench Gun - 600 points (?) behind the Thompson, if you walk into the room you'll be able to see it.
Bouncing Betties - 1000 points, one time only.
Right – since my strategy relies almost completely on the mystery box – there’ll be quite a few things you’d need to know about the weapons available. I’ll only go through the good weapons IN MY OPINION AND FROM EXPERIENCE:
Bolt-Action Rifles
PTRS-41
A very powerful Bolt Action Rifle. always comes with a scope and it’s an ideal sniper rifle You can get amazing collateral shots with this, just line the zombies up and BAM! 4-in-one, or more! The best Bolt Action Rifle available on Shi No Numa and it’s the only scoped one too! Only downside is that you can’t really sprint well with it, and you walk quite slowly when you’re holding it.
Overall Rating – 7/10
Arisaka
The Arisaka is another Bolt-Action Rifle available in the new map Shi No Numa. It's a one-shot-kill-to-the-head up to round 4, and it costs 200 points to buy it off the wall in the beginning room.
Overall Rating - 4/10
Machine Guns (Light & Heavy)
Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR)
Once again, very powerful, good gun. However there are a few downsides. It’s an MG, so you walk slowly and also it’s got a very low rate of fire. It’s basically a wannabe Assault Rifle, but it’s too chunky.
Overall Rating – 6/10
Browning M1919
This Heavy Machine Gun is quite good for zombie mode. If you’re camping in a corner you’ll want a large clip capacity, so this is ideal, it also packs a powerful punch through the undead, which is very helpful! Once again – this gun has great power and capacity, but when it comes to speed, you don’t want to be frantically running away from a sprinting Japanese or Nazi zombie. Also, the reload time is very long, so you have to time it right.
Overall Rating – 9/10
Maschinengewehr 42 (MG-42)
The MG-42 is fantastic for hordes of undead people. Great rate of fire, low recoil, large clip, quick reload (compared to other MGs). The only downside is you run quite slow with it, as with all of the machine guns.
Overall Rating – 9/10
Rifles
Gewehr 43
The Gewehr 43, an extremely accurate semi-automatic rifle, the recoil is barely noticeable, high power. You can buy it off the wall next to a window in the starting room for 600 points and I recommend it very much for those beginning rounds.
Overall Rating – 6/10
Sturmgewehr 44 (StG-44)
The StG-44 is a slightly-above-average gun when you’re up for a zombie apocalypse. I found that it acts in the same way as a sub-machine gun however it’s more accurate than the MP40, but it has less power. It’s good for the lower rounds.
Overall Rating – 7/10
Sub-Machine Guns
Machinepistole 40 (MP40)
The MP40 decent until level 16. It’s reputation is “nooby” when you play online multiplayer and I can see why. Lots of power, nice rate of fire. It’s a very comfortable gun. Brilliant, a gun that has a reputation for being nooby, even without perks! Seeing as you’re not killing other people, no one will complain.
Overall Rating – 7/10
PPSh-41
PPSh-41. A Russian submachine gun with an insane rate of fire and low recoil. Mediocre power mixed with this rate of fire is insanely good for zombies. If this gun pops up from the mystery box, get it.
Overall Rating – 9/10
Type-100
The Type-100 is a Japanese sub machine gun. Good clip capacity and low recoil. However suddenly it’s picked up loads of power on the map Shi No Numa and it’s a wondergun!
Overall Rating – 7.5/10
Shotguns
M1897 Trench Gun
I had to put this gun in. It’s shotgun partner, the Double-Barreled Shotgun is great if you like reloading. The Trench gun is a good last resort if you hear those howls at the beginning of the round. Get up in a corner and blast away!
Overall Rating – 7.5/10
Sidearms
.357 Magnum
The Poor-Man’s-Ray-gun as I like to call it is usually a one-shot-kill in the earlier rounds. Collateral shots are also possible to get with this beauty.
Overall Rating – 7.5/10
Specials
Ray Gun
The Ray Gun is amazing. Very large clip, amazing zombie-owning power and lots of ammo. A definite keeper. But i hate the recoil that will kill you.
Overall Rating – 10/10
Wunderwaffe DG-2 (Wonder weapon)
The Wunderwaffe DG-2 in action.
The first time i got it and truly found out how much zombie-ass it kicked. It fires chain-lightning through the zombies and kills them in 1 shot. You get 3 shots in one clip (they look like light bulbs that attach to the side of the gun) until you have to reload and overall you get 18 shots with it. One word it misses alot but shoot it in the floor with a nearby zombie then boom i did not miss.
Overall Rating – 9.5/10
Yes. I know I put the Ray Gun as a better gun than the DG-2. I did this because in my opinion it’s better for different circumstances. For instance: If you’re downed, you can use your Ray Gun to cover people whilst they revive you. You can’t do that with the DG-2. Also the Ray Gun’s reload is much quicker, you get more overall ammo and you have a larger click size. True, the DG-2 kills multiple zombies with one shot so you can clear big hordes, but the Ray Gun is more player-friendly. True, both of them hurt you if you shoot a zombie that’s too close but I still prefer the Ray Gun. On one last note about these guns, you can run quicker with the Ray Gun than with the DG-2.
