I think of it this way, there are so many people claiming rape and then it turning out to be a lie, that it is hard to take it as seriously as it should be taken. Not saying that everyone is crying wolf per say, but it is hard for everyone to take seriously and pursue it in court because of so many people who fake it. Now I think police and all that should take it seriously, but tread with caution when doing so because look how many people were falsely accused so the "victim" could sue for money or put them in prison for years on end.
I agree with you 100% on that. Many people become the victims of being accused for being a rapist. It like a tug of war. Due to people abusing the system and taking advantage of the law, those who are actually the victim of rape, never get justice because of those who falsely claim to be raped which lead to the majority of the people to not take the matter seriously. What makes it even more difficult is when those who takes months or years to file a report of being raped by their rapist. There will always be pros and cons when it comes to this. It not fair to those who actually suffer from these crimes. But, there just some things you can't possibly avoid.
