Now many of you know what rape is, but not all of you know the psychological aspects of rape. Rape victim often are the receipt of trauma. Some of the trauma can be emotional distress, phobic, isolated from the world, and which can lead to suicide. Victims that are connected to sexual crimes often suffer psychological effects by being brutally injured. Any sexual crimes against the victims can cause severe amount of psychological reactions. Question, what is rape? From a legal standpoint, there many different labels of rape. There Stranger Rape, Acquaintance rape, Gang Rape, and Marital Rape. I'll explain those later. Now, rape happens everywhere. Problem is, are we doing enough to prevent it or even try to reduce sexual crimes? Through the years, sexual crimes have risen. Which makes it unsafe for young kids, even grown men & women. It seems the security of our country & others has weaken. But there also been reports that there are vast amount unreported rapes. Rape has been a key for sexual predators to prey on the weak (defenselessness people). The psychological effects rape victims encounter can be, live in fear, agony or anxiety, mixed with emotional numbness. When it kicks in? Well the reactions begin days or weeks after the rape and decrease after two to six months. The victims also suffers low self-respect, and sexual dysfunction which can last about year or more.

Many of the victims will encounter defense mechanisms such as denial, suppression, and dissociation which are very common. When the victims is suppressing their emotions, they're trying to escape the painful feelings for a short time which can be psychologically exhausting. If the victim is in a dissociation mode, it can be employed during painful physical or psychological abuse which is impossible to escape. So the survival technique provides a feeling of leaving one's body, making the trauma difficult to remember, especially the details. What also very common, is when the victims goes through is hyper vigilance. Hyper-vigilance is when the victims avoid certain thoughts that reminds them of the situation of their abuse, and strong reactions to sudden mental images. There been research that it can disrupt the person's normal work capacity for about eight months or more after the rape. A famous psychological effect that a victim goes through is depression. It can last for months, years, or a decade. Depression can result to suicidal ideation or attempts to suicide.

As many of you know now the psychological effects of rape victims, it shows that the consequences for the victims can be severe. My questions, what you guys think, that can be helpful for rape victims to get back on there feet and moved on with their lives? Do you feel, our country is taking this in a serious matter? Rape has been large part in our society. Human trafficking is one of them. Many of those victims are sold as sex slaves. I think we're not doing enough to at least try to reduce the amount rape crimes that occurring. We can't eliminate rape, cause it will still happen, but we can reduce the percentage of this crime. Now the explanation for each rape. Stranger rape is when a woman is assaulted by a person she doesn't know. Acuaintance Rape can be a man and the woman may know each other well or causally only. It happens in when they're partying and the male spikes the woman drinks and rapes her. Gang rape can occur with a private party attacking the victim. It can be preplanned to varies degrees, but some plannings always takes place. Marital Rape can be when a husband can threaten his wife/husband to have sex with them by force and being abusive so his wife/husband can't say no.

I agree with you 100% on that. Many people become the victims of being accused for being a rapist. It like a tug of war. Due to people abusing the system and taking advantage of the law, those who are actually the victim of rape, never get justice because of those who falsely claim to be raped which lead to the majority of the people to not take the matter seriously. What makes it even more difficult is when those who takes months or years to file a report of being raped by their rapist. There will always be pros and cons when it comes to this. It not fair to those who actually suffer from these crimes. But, there just some things you can't possibly avoid.

In reality, rape is a serious issue. I don't really have anything serious to say about it though.

On that note, there are two other types of rape:

Date Rape
Date rape is considered the most sincere form of flattery. The big problem with it is that first you need to have a date.

Statutory Rape
Because statues rarely struggle or report incidents to the police, they are favored targets of rape. In fact, statutory rape may be the most common kind, and many people don't even feel like it's really even a crime, at least not if it's a really hot statue. But it is a crime that can cause grievous psychological damage against a population of statues that is completely defenseless and in need of our help.

Female/male statutory rape has less harsher punishment than a male/female statutory rape. This is either due to societal prejudice or just that the courts don't like people who drill holes into statues.
