Google to release 1gig internet.

They are releasing their 1gig internet they are doing it in Topeka, Kansas first around 2012 it will be 100x faster than the average usa internet speed.... let's hope it comes all around the world it would be awesome.

Awesome, but it'll cost a stupid amount each month and there'll probably be some dumb monthly cap.

Hopefully this sort of speed will be the norm in 20 or so years though

A cap will depend on how stable their network is.

It shouldn't be both but one or the other.

Either High monthly fee or a monthly cap.

Or that's how my ISP explained it, they said they can upgrade their backbone and all that and raise their rates. Or the can put a monthly cap which according to them "only affects 1-3% of their customers"
