Google Chrome will soon allow users to permanently mute websites, a feature that will bring joy to millions who suffer through autoplaying videos on websites every day. The feature is currently available in the experimental Canary build of the browser.
Google’s François Beaufort announced the addition this morning, noting that the Chrome team is still “experimenting with a setting to mute / unmute a website directly from the Page Info bubble.”
