    I’m sure all of you are aware that iOS 5 will make its big debut this fall, and with iOS 5 will come features like iMessages and iCloud backups. With that said, it’s very obvious that a 3G (possibly even 4G) data connection would be required to take full advantage of these two amazing features anywhere and anytime. So it seems obvious that Apple would include on-the-go data connectivity in the 5th generation iPod Touch.

    A Dutch blog called AppleSpot.nl also claims that Apple’s 5th generation iPod Touch will contain all of the components required for on-the-go data connectivity:

    It will work just like the iPad; you get a 3G enabled simcard from your provider and put that in you iPod Touch. Apple’s choice of bringing 3G to the iPod Touch isn’t all that weird, if it’s true of course. Question remains how the providers will react to this, since the use of for example Skype will skyrocket. (unfortunately, Google didn’t do a great job translating this except from AppleSpot’s article)
    Basically, they are saying that VoIP (Voice over IP) calls would be impractical due to the high data usage they require and that the 3G/4G data connection would be used for everyday tasks, as well as the occasional iCloud backup.

    As of now, this is just a rumor but, it seems likely that this will become a reality. =D

    Add 3G to iPod touch... A simple jailbreak tweak will turn it into an iPhone.. Soo I see it very unlikely 2 see a 3G iPod unless the iPhone has features the iPod doesn't have...

    No, iPhone 25 will be holographic "ready"
    iPhone 25S will get holographic working but with lots of bugs such as no bars and explotions
    iPhone 26 will cost twice as much as iPhone 25S, but with a better camera and working holographic
