I decided to make a simple to read thread that tells you what versions of iOS can be jailbroken, and what tool to use. It is correct as of August 14, 2016. If a version isn't shown, it means it either has a tethered jailbreak, or no jailbreak exists.

Again; you should be able to use p0sixspwn. Although you're better off seeing what firmware you can upgrade to (especially if on an older device) and jailbreaking that instead if possible.

Thanks for the advice man. But I've got a spare iPod touch 4th gen that can only run up to 6.1.6 and posixpwn said its not supported and to downgrade to 6.1.3 yet I can't because it's not signed obviously?

At this point in time, no. All we can do is wait for either TaiG or Pangu to put out a new tool to jailbreak iOS 9.2.1.
