Once they stop signing for that firmware, you can no longer update to it. Sorry, you're going to have to wait until the next jailbreak release.

If you are thinking about updating then you should. Before iOS 10 is out. But then again they did jailbrake the beta because Apple didn't encrypt the kernel.

Also if you are on iPhone 4s then you shouldn't update to iOS 9 because it's shit, very laggy and unresponsive. But then again iOS 9 is really good.
