Its an actual feature of the game. Hit Esc then click on difficulty until it says peaceful.

Yeah if you are playing on peaceful then you will gain health. I Think this mod is something you are looking for - You must login or register to view this content.

You could always use INV Edit and give yourself diamond armour with the health ( or damage, I forget ) set to like -1000000.

theres a unlimited health mod but u can also get one that just does no fall damage depending on what u need it for just try the mod wiki

Well in the newest update you can go into creative mode and there is no health. Just saying.
