This April fools (April 1, 2011), Sony Computer Entertainment America also known as the SCEA, will become Sony Network Entertainment America Inc. SNEA. Soon after they make the name change, you will be asked to agree with their new TOS upon signing in. If you don't agree with their new "Terms of Serivice" they will close your account and refund all PSN funds.

They've been sending out emails to inform all with a PlayStation Network account on what's going on. Here's what it says in case you didn't get it:

Watch as Sony bans everyone on April 1st, then on April 2nd we aren't banned. That would be the best prank ever (by a video game company). :carling:

So your account will be closed if you just decline only? I am wondering about those who are not able to access online. Will their accounts be closed for not accepting the new TOS within a certain time frame? All in all, we could probably log into a fellow friends PS3 or someone known who does not have a jailbroken console and accept the TOS on our accounts.

Regardless, thanks for the info melo :y:

sony is using april fools day to throw people off the fact they are updating their TOS and making possible changes that most people wont read carefully. regardless, sony is really doing some weird stuff lately...

they don't ban you until you actually decline, from what im getting. if you just don't do anything i don't think they will. that would be unfair to people currently without access to their ps3 or something
