Activision has today amazed gamers worldwide by telling the world that all attendees to it's Call Of Duty: XP event will be receiving a voucher to pick up the hardened edition of Modern Warfare 3 for free.

Ticket holders to the event will receive a code that will allow them to redeem a free copy of the hardened edition of the game, set to launch on 8th November. However, Activision has not commented on how exactly this will work.

Activision also gave details on the Call Of Duty: Elite live action series which is currently still in development.

The convention will also have other great features such as the chance to play on a reconstructed map of Scrapyard from Modern Warfare 2, with paintball guns, and also a $1 million MW3 tournament.

Tickets to the two-day convention will cost $150, with all money raised going towards the You must login or register to view this content..

I'm sorry, but...

BFBC3 - 30FPS
MW3 - 60FPS+

BFBC2 - EA
MW3 - IW

Battlefield will always be in the shadow of Call Of Duty.

Ok the company is not what matters it's the gameplay, have you noticed that all the COD in the past have been exactly the same? Same type of gameplay only in a different design.

Now compare that to Battlefield 3, realism is the main goal which they have achieved and epic gameplay on a wide variety of huge-scaled maps.

Compare MW3 to MW2, they are exactly the same, same graphics and similar gameplay. Spec Ops is just a InfinityWard version of zombies. Treyarch ruined the COD series with Black Ops.

Just because BF3 is only 30fps on consoles still doesn't mean it won't be great, it is 60fps on PC.

FPS didn't really change for menwhen I made the switch, and again...
My opinion:
CoD=Repetitive,Almost like "everyone minds their own business" kind of thing,Arcade/What have we got to loose kind of thing.
BF= Team play,Realistic,Strategies,Vehicles

But it's all on peoples opinions Smile

"Compare MW3 to MW2". Bit hard considering it isn't out. And it may be similar but it's definitely not the same.

My experience with Battlefield is how you describe your feelings towards CoD. Everyone wants to go lone wolf. Not that I'm against that, it's the style I normally play myself, in TDM only though. At least CoD players work in teams on team-based games (if everyone has a mic), BF players all tend to be like "Fuk dis shit am goin commando to take dem ****as out, back in 5 k?"

how is it worth it? the hardened edition costs about 15 bucks more, were a plane ticket to California (assuming you don't live in Cali) costs 300-500 bucks?

Honestly I think this would be pretty fun. Although I live in Canada so I don't think it would be a good idea.

But if you lived somewhere in the states, just go to this thing with a friend or two and just go hangout in cali for a week and then fly back. I think it'd be sick to play paintball on scrapyard.
