As most of you may know, the latest installment to the Call of Duty franchise launched this tuesday; Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Along with the game, CoD officially launched one of it's greatest out-of-game features, Call Of Duty Elite. This allows players to track their personal stats across the CoD series, connect there CoD experience with social networking and many other exciting features. Although there is a free version of this feature, the premium option allows gamers to do more. Getting a premium membership before November 13th gives you the Elite founder status. You can show this off in-game with the exclusive camo, title and emblem.
Due to the staggering amount of players trying to gain access to the MW3 servers, there has been a lot of downtime on Elite. As a result of this, CoD have extended the time in which you can get your founder status on elite to the end of the month. Not only is there an extension on the time in which you can get your founder status, but if you have a premium elite membership, you get to stay as an elite premium for an extra 30 days meaning that you get 13 months of elite instead of the original 12.
I am glad that we get all of these extensions. I bought the hardened edition and therefore I had my elite. I was shocked when I first redeemed the code because the elite app was down and I thought I had lost my founder status. It is good that we finally get some information about what is happening with elite.
I am looking forward to using elite. It has been confirmed that Elite should be up and running by December 31st.
