As all, or most of you know, the Infected game mode on Modern Warfare 3 was added to the online, community playlists. Said game mode has always been a private match game mode, along with the other community game, Dropzone. Now, for those of you who don't know, the objective of Infected is to be last alive and kill off those with only a knife with a pre-selected gun. On the online mode, the guns are automatically, and randomly chosen. And for the private match, how the game is setup is up to you.

During the course of Infected being an online game mode, some patches have been set out to make it a bit more "fair." However, people that abused what they patched no longer like the game mode and refer back to private matches. Here are some of the things they patched:

  • Glitching spots - Before Infected hit the community playlists, numerous glitches on various maps were scattered among private match lobbies. Seeing as that during the first couple of days of online Infected were dominated by players that knew these glitches, they were patched with death barriers. What a death barrier does is simple. When someone jumps to a certain spot, the death barrier kills them.

  • Throwing knives - For the first couple of days of online Infected, throwing knives were only on certain maps. Now, however, in ever infected game you have, there is throwing knives. This completely terminates the aspect of camping or securing an area in Infected seeing as that wherever you are, you're vulnerable to a knife.

  • Time limits - Back when Infected just hit the community playlists, time limits varied between the set times of five, and ten minutes. Now, in every game, the time limit is set to five minutes.

It seems to me that all of said updates were only put in place to reduce the amount of kills obtained by non-infected users. In addition they've also tried to make it a bit more fair on the infected users. Even with these updates, I myself have let out quite a few M.O.A.B.'s and seen other people call them in on this game mode; so don't get discouraged.

More updates for this game mode may be out soon. What do you guys think of the ones that already are out?[/size]

KFC
KFC is the best
In my personal opinion, they ruined infection. It was fun before the hotfix/patch was released. Now, they've added Barrett. Seriously, which idiot thought of that?

Venom
At least I can fight
If they take out the barrier auto kill, they have to take out throwing knives.

Those are the things that kill the game...

On Resistance, they need to move the death barrier from the stop sign to the the other standing thing, "Don't know what it is called". You move forward and accidentally touch the sign too much and die. You can still die on the sign post, jump and stab and the person is dead. Don't get that.. :/
