I think it is due to data being corrupted or due to the updates. Instead of updating to 1.24 from the game screen I downloaded the packages via MM and installed them that way, after deleting the game saves from the console. It worked briefly, maybe for an hour of game play, then, the console shut down again. It's not a heat issue, I have already replaced the HDD, I just need to know if I am updating the game incorrectly, or if there is a setting somewhere that is corrupting the game data or what it could be. *Please help, there are hundreds of you that play this every day with no issues, I just want to be as cool as you!

Nope, nothing works. It plays all other games fine. Why in the world, will it not play MW3, it makes no sense. I could see if it was a corrupt game torrent, but its not. I have tried multiple sources. I do not understand this and I want to pull my hair out

Yes. I have read where people have had similar issues with other games, and have used file programs to overwrite and rename bad file saves, but I am never gonna be able to do any of that.

The system will stay at the game screen and will let me be in a Party for an infinite amount of time, until we enter a game.... thats when it crashes. If I wanted to host a join my party and just chat and not play, I could do that for a week without a crash....

When you install it to your hdd are you FTP or usb stick?

I have done direct from disc, and FTP.

Trying to think on why you having this issue

Just to clear it up some, I was helping him before and these were things we tried.

(1) Use a torrent (To make sure he has a good disk player)
(2) Use a different account (To make sure nothing on the account was keeping him from playing)
(3) Use a pre-completed game save (Because, we thought his game saves were getting corrupted)

There is probably more that I can't think of, but this is some of them.

And nothing worked. I could of swore someone else was having this issue before but idk if his problem was solved

The issue was never resolved for him. We managed to get it to where he could play for a couple hours at one point, but I don't remember what we tried. You're probably thinking of him, he has had like two or three threads for this issue.
