Paranormal Activity 2: The trailer has led to complaints in America that it's too terrifying

It opens with a man being thrown into the camera and then shows "footage" of a baby in a crib and a dog barking before a mysterious figure appears in a doorway.

Audiences in Texas, however, who saw the trailer at Cinemark cinemas before a screening of Twilight Saga: Eclipse, complained that it was just too frightening.

Bosses of the chain felt compelled to remove the trailer from several of their complexes.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest confirmed just how chilling the sequence is on his Twitter page, writing: ‘Paranormal Activity 2 teaser trailer… hold someone.’

Other Twitter users agreed wholeheartedly with Seacrest.

Paranormalsoul tweeted: ‘Paranormal Activity 2 trailer may scare the $%!@ out of you…’ and nicole_frapp wrote: 'Is it sad that i couldn't get through the paranormal activity 2 trailer? the last movie wasn't too scary, but the new trailer is. Sad'

However, not everyone on Twitter agreed. TheMoviebuff said: ‘The Paranormal Activity 2 trailer is not that scary. What are people so scared about? The 1st movie's trailer was much scarier.’

The first film was a huge hit at the box office and a spoof of the movie was performed by Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin at this year's Oscars.
Paranormal Activity 2 is directed by Tod Williams and is released in the US on October 22.

This is going to be interesting. Not sure if I'm going to see it yet. Probably will. Not too scary though. That girl in the door looks like that same girl from the first one that disappeared.

How the **** is that scary? That was at the end of the 1st one, and all I did was say, "wow that's it?". After watching that like 6 times I could finally see that was a body, but goddamn I thought that was a pillow the first 5 times. The whole movie was boring, but I watched it anyways since my friends said they were scared shit-less at the end, and I was pissed that I just watched an entire movie waiting for the ending that was shit. People need to get more of a stomach for scary movies.

Paranormal Activity 1 was so funny, i couldnt stop laughing watching how un scary it was and from 2 girls shaking in fear be side me. Anyone know if its in 3d LMAO
