Sony have recently shown off their new controller for Playstation Move at the GDC in San Francisco where the audience had their chance to play with the new system.

Initial reactions from the audience were dismayed, calling it "Too Wii-like" and that it "Lacks real innovation from Sony."

Testers couldn't help but feel that Sony is just trying to play catch up to the Wii's success as the Wii has sold over double the amount of consoles compared to the PS3.

We can only speculate if this controller will challenge "Project Natal" from Microsoft when it is released.

The controller will go on sale for no more than $100 (£47) some time this autumn.

Here's to Loonyology!
Don't know if Sony will pull this off......Like you said, it appears they are playing catch up a little, and in my opinion it's almost a "move" out of desperation on their part! Hopefully they will make me eat my words, but i very much doubt that!

1st place. Ps move (most precise controller, most advanced technology, motion tracking of your player, all genres of games, not compromise the graphics)

2nd place. Wii Controller (Lacks body movement, graphics are bad and over faults aswell)

3rd place. Project natal (looks like a perfetic attempt at an eye toy, shows your body on the screen thourgh a camera u punch forward and you hit sommething doesnt take into account how hard you swing.)

sony has perfected this contoller and project natal should be scrpped it doesnt look anywhere near as good as the ps move

To and fro the island.
Personally, I'm not very excited about these sort of things. I feel the Wii was the one to start these sort of things, and it should stay there. I bought my Playstation 3 because I could play games via the classic controller, and would prefer it to stay that way...

However! This video was very enlightening for me. Whether or not Sony will pull it off is yet to be seen is yet to be determined, but if it is, this is something I'll likely give a go. If not, I'm also perfectly happy with that.

This Playstation "Move" does not interest me in the slightest. I work for Walmart and in two weeks my Sony Rep is coming to do some training with my co-workers (even though I don't need it, because I taught him something about his own system...little FYI, Sony [at least their reps] have no knowledge of the "Fan Test" for the Playstation 3), and I am going to ask him about the PS Move. See what he has to say about it.

One game has been confirmed to work with PS Move, and that's Toy Story 3.

Not keen on this, they should've just left that market alone.
