Yes, you heard right! Today, during Microsoft's huge audience giveaway, they announced that the current Xbox 360 model is being discontinued. It will be replaced by the new model of the Xbox 360 completely, once the current stock runs out. So, if you'd like to be one of the last people to get your hands on an older model of the Xbox 360 for a lower price, this is probably your best bet.

While I already own an Xbox 360, and therefore will not be purchasing this new model, this is without a doubt a great looking console. By the looks of it, it has been improved in terms of both appearance and functionality.

What are your thoughts on this?

Microsoft announced that the new xbox will cost $300 just to let everyone know.

On another note, I know that I certainly will be purchasing one, These look awesome, and I am sure that Gamestop will have some sort of a deal where you can trade in your old 360 and get a discount on the new one.

Seems cool but I thought they where going to make a slim

They are actually referring to this new model as the Slim, I believe. At least that is what it was referred to on the site in which I found this information.
