To add on to the buzz coming from E3, Sony unveiled the You must login or register to view this content., which is the first of many of Sony’s new PS2 Collections. Instead of making newer models of the Playstation 3 backwards compatible, Sony plans on releasing PS2 Collections of games with improved qualities. With the Sly Cooper Collection, Sony has made plans to include 3D integration, meaning 3D is a possibility for other PS2 games coming back in the near future.



Because of the positive feedback from PS3 community from the You must login or register to view this content. released last year, Sony plans on plenty of these new HD PS2 games being released in the near future. While many gamers would rather have all the PS3 models support backwards compatibility, this is surely a welcomed alternative. So, for those of you without the ability to play PS2 games on your PS3... sit tight; collections are on the way.

If you could have any game made into a collection for the PS3, what would it be? Personally, I'd like to see all the 007 Games.

Prince of Persia collection might be a god idea. However I'm expecting them to do this with exclusive PS2 games so maybe a Jak collection and a FF one?

Also there were rumors previously about a Team Ico collection, **** yes that would be awesome.

Team Ico Collection would be awesome! I would probably pick up a FF and Jak Collection as well.

However the one I want the most would be a Kingdom Hearts Collection. HD visuals, trophies... *drools* Make it happen Sony!

Can anyone confirm that these new collections will feature trophies like the God of War one?

EDIT: (in regards to the Sly Collection) "The game was unveiled at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2010 and will update the graphics, including support for the new 3D capabilities of the PlayStation 3, include new mini-games that can be played only using the PlayStation Move and includes additional title supports such as Trophies".

The old GTA's or Prince Of Persia.

I picked up the GoW collection recently having never played them for the PS2. Epic!!! Nearly have two new platinum trophies now. Definitely going to invest in GoW3.
I'd probably buy a few other 'classic' games as well because I never bothered to buy a lot of them, like the team Ico, Kingdom Hearts and Jak Collections. I played demos and the like for them and have always wanted the full games.

Though I am still slightly irritated that my first PS3 had backwards compatibility, but after that broke I couldn't get my hands on another 60GB. Good money making scheme.

i hope they bring back kingdom hearts 1 & 2 except in final mix versions, anyways when is kingdom hearts 3 coming out to the ps3?
