Massive news has just been revealed by Treyach that local matchmaking will feature in Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Treyarch's community manager Josh Olin divulged this at this year's gamecom in Cologne, "[multiplayer matchmaking] will enable matchmaking with people in the local area."
It was in September of last year that Robert Bowling, creative strategist at Infinity Ward, admitted that "There isn't an option [in Modern Warfare 2] to search specific regions/countries when matchmaking, but there is improved matchmaking to auto-assist."
Today's exciting revelation could prove to be the end of lag for all future Call of Duty games.
Do you think this will prove to be the end of lag in Call of Duty?

Well I have really bad connection, and for some reason it ALWAYS picks me as the host, and I get lagged out in the first few minutes of any game
I don't lag when I'm not the host, but I'd rather see a better host picking than localized matchmaking.
