With the SNES Classic Edition arriving early for some users, reports have already come out of disassembled consoles and hacks to pave the way for modding. Not that anyone wasn’t expecting this: last year’s NES Classic Edition was subject to the same modding frenzy, with many fans adding games that missed the cut. Needless to say, the same process will happen here, as seen with cracked consoles and, yes, a dump of the Star Fox 2 ROM.

Just to be clear, this does not mean this version of the Star Fox 2 ROM is already floating out there. I mean, it probably is, and i won’t link you to any ROM-hosting, but the above image is merely a test for the SNES9X emulator. Bear in mind, however, it’s been confirmed the beta Star Fox 2 ROM leaked many years ago is obviously different from the final version included in SNES Classic Edition, so i'd imagine searching for that will prove difficult.
