Ok so i seen bunch of threads others having trouble downloading ps3 games and when they drag the file and drop it to there hard drive they get an error message like saying it doesnt fit or whatever even though you have like 16gb-1tbs of space. I tried undead Night mare and tekken 6 and i got this problem but what you do is you get the folder witch says BLES or BLUS and use a program called split4G and just find the direct file and put it on your removable device and your done it will copy and split the files i know its not the best tutorial but ill try to make it detail when the pictues come in Smile so after... You plug the hard drive in the ps3 and use the latest mulitman and just move it to the GAME or GAMEZ file or use another file manager

What !?

I think what you meant is that FAT32 HDD's can't write a file bigger than 4gb - yes thats correct.

You can solve this problem with unzipping all .rar parts into a NTFS HDD and then transfert the game folder trought FTP directly in the GAMEZ file of your ps3.

To format a NTFS partition on your HDD use SWISSKNIFE: You must login or register to view this content.

How ? Download filezilla ( You must login or register to view this content.) and enter the IP that is written in your backup manager and drag and drop the BLES-xxxxxx to your ps3 ( trough FTP) file using filezilla on your computer.

------

Using a NTFS HDD and putting your game trought ftp is much simplier and faster than any other methods in my opinion. Once you get how it works it takes no time to tranfert games.

OK, I semi understood what you just said. What he means is, games such as RDR Undead Nightmare, have files bigger than 4 GB. You use this tool, to split up the file. Then it will be able to be put on a FAT32 HDD, then you use multiMAN to rejoin the files on your internal HDD.

FTP is slow, this method is quicker; and backup managers do not support NTFS yet.

And please explain how you would use an NTFS HDD with FTP?

Use ethernet cables brah..... Mine transfer 17MB /sec

What i meant is:

1- Unzip files on a ntfs HDD ( because when you download a game it is split into 8-20 parts)
2- Tranfert the whole game ( that is now a folder name BLUS-xxxxx or BLES-xxxxx) on you ps3 HDD trought FTP using ethernet cable.
3- enjoy

Note that GAIA and other manager support FTP, turn FTP server ON and write the IP number ( usually 192.168.x.x) in filezilla. Then you can drag and drop you games into GAMEZ.

Much simplier and faster.

OK, but why would you need to unzip onto an HDD if you're transferring the game through FTP?

So what you're saying is:

Put the game on HDD
Transfer game via ethernet

What would be the point of unzipping on HDD when you're FTPing?

Not saying to put it on an HDD, i am saying to unzip the game on the NTFS HDD you downloaded it to.

Because usually when you download a game it is aprox. depending on the game size, split into 10-20 .rar files ( aka part1, part2, part3 etc)

You need to get it in a single folder before transfering it... transfering .RAR ( or .ZIP) files on you ps3 would be useless.....

OK, so after you extract it to an external HDD, you FTP from it? Explain how the internet could be faster than directly transferring?

Does not have to be an external HDD.... I download mines onto my internal ( pc) HDD, unzip them and then transfer the games to GAMEZ via FTP.

Download,unzip,transfert. Simple....

FTP in this case is involving the intranet.

My transfert using ethernet cables goes to 17-20mb/sec. Faster because FTP trough ethernet cable > USB 2.0 transfer's rate.

*Note that you can do this FTP transfert without INTERnet connection. This is happening in the INTRAnet.

If you have more questions im here.
