getting a lot of emails from noobs on onyx 3.56 cfw....it's coming....be patient... also lots of emails on Naima 3.55 CFW approach vs. Charlie Boy approach.....

I dont have the time, effort, energy to explain anymore to everyone here, between my full time engineering job and working on onyx 3.56 cfw, I'M REALLY BEAT...

Please i need some REPUTABLE members here to put it in plain english for all the noobs the main differences between the 2 approches..... pros and cons...

NOOB UPDATE as of 2/15/2011: Even if you have Naima 3.55 CFW, you still have to run "charles" on a PC in conjunction with your PS3... That's the bottom line...

I don't know anything about Naima 3.55 CFW, only Charles.

PROS
1.No clue xD l. Gets you online?

CONS
1.You must have the computer your running PS3DNS.exe and Charles on forever until you decide to turn off your Ps3 and not play no more.

2.You need to have Charles on to connect the the GAME SERVERS, not PSN.

3.Every 30 minutes, Charles will close and you will have to re-open it to connect to the game servers. (Get the Charles 3.5.1 Cracked an follow the instructions on this thread. 4. You cannot connect to the Killzone 3 Beta. (I suggest you get the full game from a torrent)

Ok, after some googling about the Naima 3.55 CFW I have come up with, this method is pretty much a dumb way down method that still uses Charles but everything is already done for you. So basically it's a "plug and play" app as there is no need to change cert., etc.. and all that other BS. About as simple as I can put it. Just google Naima 3.55 and there's tons of info about it if more info is needed.

now I also need to hear from reputable users that are actually running naima 3.55 cfw... I need your input in plain english for the noobs out there...

Personally, I prefer doing this wirelessly because you can easily find the Secondary DNS. People who does it wired that is connected to their router always gets their Secondary DNS confuse with some different information which will screw them over. Also, I find this easier on Windows XP rather then Windows Vista or 7. I did this on XP and I had no problems but when I helped other people with Teamviewer, they had either Vista or 7 and a lot of errors came up or some programs just didn't want to open.

Good explanations, Vista reallly sux, no wonder it was on the market for only couple of years till windows 7 come out, microsoft should refund everyone with windows vista or at least free upgrade to windows 7.....

anyway... more emails coming in, people want to know if they can use charles with ANY 3.55cfw? like geohot, kmeaw, kakaroto, wuganga, naima, etc.. or is it specificlly for one or the other.... which cfw works best with charles, or doesn't matter at all?

ok so i have the naima 3.55 cfw, but i cant find the ofw 3.55 lol, but yh i heard u just update with naima 3.55 cfw and u will be able to connect to psn

I only used it on Kneaw. But people been reporting that it works on Geohot. If it helps, I was first on Geohot then went to Kneaw. I think it also works with Naima.

Even with Naima 3.55 CFW, you still need to run Charles on a PC in conjunction with ur PS3....

In your personal opinion OMGaMexican, do you think another work around is IMMINENT to bypass 3.56ofw & get online without the use of a PC+Charles?
