so, i have a launch-PS3 (20GB) and it doesn't include wireless internet and instead of buying a wireless adapter, you can easily bridge your Mac's (i don't have a PC) connection to your PS3 via Ethernet. You can save yourself maybe $60-$100! Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to bridge your connection...
what you need : PS3, Mac (connected to Wi-Fi), ethernet cable, and about 10 minutes...
Step 1. On your Mac, go to system preferences, click the "Sharing" box, turn on/unlock "Internet Sharing", and then make sure it is setup as "Share your connection from: Airport" and check the "ethernet" box. (make sure to check that the green light is on and "Internet Sharing : On")

2. Now, hookup the ethernet cable to your Mac and plug the other end into the PS3

3. On your PS3, turn on, go to "Network Settings", "Internet Connection Settings".
4. Now, choose "Custom" setting method, then "Auto-Detect", "Manual" IP Adress Setting, then type these numbers into the correct rows...
IP Address - 192. 168. 2. 2
Subnet Mask - 255. 255. 255. 0
Default Router (Gateway on XBOX360) - 192. 168. 2. 1
Primary DNS - 68. 105. 28. 11
Secondary DNS - 68. 105. 29. 11

& now you should be able to connect to PSN and play online :y:!
make sure your Mac is always on/not asleep as it will stop sharing connection if you do
THIS MAY WORK ON XBOX360, JUST INSERT THE IP ADDRESS, ETC. INFO INTO THE XBOX360's CONNECTION SETTINGS.
