After buying a heat gun and thermal composte i fixed it quite easily just following the steps of these videos

The videos you 'watched' say YLoD. But yet you say its rlod. :rolleyes:

kool seems pretty useful but i havent heard of anyone getting YLOD for ages.
still if u buy one cheap repaair it and sell it on you could make money easily or evn use it as a jailbreak to transfer patches

it just fixes the YLOD not the RLOD

i fix Ps3's for my hobby and fixed over 30 Ps3's and Ylod is easy to fix . i got an RLOD Ps3 myself and tried to fix it just with the YLOD method but it didnt work ... why ??

cuz RLOD ( its RSOD Btw : Red Screen Of Death ) had NOTHING to do with a bad connection like the YLOD ( Yellow Light Of Death )
RSOD means you have a Bad NAND it IS fixable but you need infectus Modchip to read and rewrite te bad nand

i found that fix cuz i was experimenting with it and just tried to solder up my Infectus modchip on it and i was suprised it worked !

so that RSOD system ( 80GB model ) is now my infectus downgrade system for testing my Dev tools and homebrews etc.

Hope this cleared somthing up about YLOD and RSOD
