(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); It would be easy to paint Sony with the “greedy corporation” brush right about now, and it’s true that’s why so many people do it. They are a business, and every business looks for new ways to increase its revenues. Doing so by making life harder on your customers and their wallets is wholly inexcusable though. These same customers were the ones who bought your over-priced mess of a console, and supported you through the biggest hack and data leak in history. (PlayStation Network, PS3, Sony)

This is ridiculous... They are doing what the Pc gaming industry has done for years.... You get 1 code with the game if you buy it new... The gaming industry gets no revenue from used games, This is a good way to pick up on that.. The game developers have already started doing it with some of there games. By Sony doing this we might get more exclusives as well.. But hey thats just my opinion...

So what if the gaming industry gets nothing on used games? They sold the game once, they got their money on it. At least the PC developers do this as piracy control, something that isn't as big on consoles.

I agree except for the "over-priced mess of a console" comment. The PS3 isn't just a gaming system it is a multimedia powerhouse sporting the best cpu ever placed inside of something for that cheap. Another thing is the blu-ray player that is built in, because of that the PS3 can't be sold for under a certain price because if the price goes any lower it will be cheaper than a stand-alone blu-ray player and sony can't do that. All in all they have been selling their product under market value for years but this is no excuse to try and milk us dry.
SN: Maybe it's being done to prevent piracy or stop places like gamestop from making a killing off of them by essentially under-cutting their profits by buying used games dirt cheap and re-selling them close to new value which doesn't make sony any money.
