The restore finished but i cant get it to update

Assuming you know how to place the firmware on your USB Flash Drive. I recommend you trying to install 3.55 OFW through Ps3 Recovery Menu. I think the opition for installing/updating firmware is 6. If I recall correctly I have had this problem once and I solved by installing the 3.55 OFW from Ps3 Recovery Menu.
