The image above, found on Engadget.com, is a patent sketch released by Sony earlier today.
The sketch depicts a “Wii-U Esque” style controller that Sony, isn’t necessarily going to create,
but has plans to develop further. As you can see, there aren't many details, as I'm sure
Sony is keeping as discreet as possible for now.
Sony describes it as a “position-dependent gaming, 3-D controller, and handheld as a remote that
would act as the ‘input to a video game’.” Essentially, it’s a controller. Personally, I have no clue
how to describe what I see in the picture. If this idea decides to fruition, surely we'll know more in
the future, but as of now there isn’t any other information besides this.
In my thoughts, with rumors of a PS4 being released sometime in the future, surely Sony is going to try and
expand the horizons of the “controller” in order to make a profit. With the success of the first Wii and Kinect,
and their not so successful iteration of motion-gaming with the Move (in comparison to the Wii and Kinect)
Sony is likely to hop onto the motion-gaming band wagon, again, and give this a second shot.
Hopefully with this speculated “controller”, Sony can knock this one out of the park and create something different
that will spark an even greater interest in the motion-gaming area. If you want to read the whole article, you

Do you guys think that Sony can compete with the Wii-U or Kinect? Or will Sony's Round 2 of motion-controllers
simply get shrugged off? Let me know what you think about this.
