Hey NGU, This is my tut on how to OPEN Your NAT Type on PS3
Here is a VIDEO Clip from youtube, Text tut will be down below. I DO NOT Take credit for this vid. Posted for educational use ONLY
Text tut :
1.On the Ps3 Goto : Settings > System Settings > System Info *TAKE NOTE OF IP ADDRESS*
2.Now, Goto your computer > Start > Type RUN
3.Within the RUN, Type "cmd"
4.Type "ipconfig"
5.Then look for DEFAULT GATEWAY
6.Copy the Default Gateway IP into your internet URL Bar
This is where things get kinda difficult
7.Type in your Routers username and password. Usually(IF NOT CHANGED) : {Username = admin}+{Pass = admin} or {Username = admin}+{Pass = password}
NOT WORKING? TRY THIS SITE You must login or register to view this content.
8.Sign in
9.Look for ADVANCED
10.Then look for "DMZ HOST"
11.Type in the Ps3 IP Address you copied earlier
12.Click Apply
13.Re-do your internet settings (From Ps3 dashboard)
You didn't say you will need to give your ps3 a static ip address. This is needed to put into the dmz but to be honest port forwarding is better as dmz opens your whole ps3 to the internet. Also i have found if you have a dmz or portforward disable upnp in ps3 settings as this will conflict with the above two methods as it can close some ports when used aswell.
