Sony now offering 15 months for the price of 12 to both new and existing customers

PS3 owners have been given an extra incentive to sign up to PlayStation Plus, the premium version of Sony's online gaming network.

Subscribers who sign up to the £39.99 (50 USD) a year service between now and May 3rd will receive 15 months membership instead of 12 months.

Existing members won't miss out, wither, with any users who renew their membership in the timeframe will also get three months added for free.

This month's PSN+ offerings include a free copy of new multiplayer offering Red Faction: Battlegrounds.

So there you have it, this is sony's way of reimbursing Psn+ users, as well as a way to get more people to do it. :y:

I remember this isn't the first time sony did an extra free 3 months before, but I believe that only applied to new subscribers, not current ones.

What is your thoughts on this? Do you think they should reimburse regular PSN users as well?

This is nice reimbursement, but Section 15 of the Terms of Service explicitly state that they can bring down the PSN for any reason, so compensation is sort of just a way to feed all the crybabies.

15. WARRANTY DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
No warranty is given about the quality, functionality, availability or performance of Sony Online Services, or any content or service offered on or through Sony Online Services. All services and content are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” with all faults. SCEA does not warrant that the service and content will be uninterrupted, error-free or without delays. In addition to the limitations of liability in Sections 1, 2, 11 and 13 of this Agreement, SCEA expressly disclaims any implied warranty of merchantability, warranty of fitness for a particular purpose and warranty of non-infringement. SCEA assumes no liability for any inability to purchase, access, download or use any content, data or service

No, they use to have it, but they placed it again during the outages. I know because I bought psn + a week before and I didn't get 3 free months. Well I think anyways, if I'm wrong I'm sorry
