As Sony starts to relaunch its PlayStation Network service around the world, one country is conspicuous in its absence: Japan.

Speaking to Dow Jones Newswires yesterday, a Japanese government official said the country has not yet allowed Sony to launch PlayStation Network within its borders because of concerns over the security of the service.

They made PSN,but they dont trust their own servers. FAIL!/facepalm
So they are using other contries to test the servers so if it gets hacked,we are the ones who are affected.

They are from Japan, that's why they aren't allowed to go online yet. They are one of the biggest companies in Japan and globally. While the rest of the world is willing to accept free games, improved security and some insurance against identity theft, token stuff that helps us move on. But in Japan, their reputation is at stake so they really need to bow in apology to a lot of people, and suck a few dicks while down there to help people get over it.
