i got 2 ps3 320gb fat 2port and a 220gb fat 4port bd drive broke. and my 4port does that but from what i learned is its nothing bad just makeing noise and shuting up for a bit none of my ps3's are messed up besides the blue ray drive in the 220gb but everything works fine and none of my ps3s have died on me and i have had one of them for about 4 or 5 years not even sure anymore got it like a year after ps3's came out so just take good care of it and dnt worry about the noise

Dont take this as flame but can you write a litlle more legible???? I had to read tgis thing like 3 times to make sense. Back to topic, yeah your ps3 is slowly diying and you should consider buying another one(preferibly SLIM model). You can take it to repair but it will keep breaking since is old and fat models tend to break more Smile

If it's fat, make sure that you keep it away from the walls or any hot places that might be the problem :y:

It could be dying, my 60gb died several months ago after making weird noises.
