With the limitless possibilities of PS Jailbreak, it could open up to the access of many arrays of homebrews, emulators, and many more – including enabling back the Playstation 3 Linux OtherOS ability. According to George Hotz also better known as geohot, Sony didn’t even remove the code for Playstation 3 Linux OtherOS, they just disabling it in your PS3. Oh, while we are at geohot, he is the first to break the news online that he found a hole in PS3 which resulted in Sony action to removed the OtherOs function in the next firmware update. Afterwards, he announce that he can run Playstation 3 Linux OtherOS even with the newest firmware. It cause an outbreak to the PS3 community, and even bombing the George Hotz’s blog traffic, geohotps3.blogspot.com, which consequently making it as one of the spot for spammers. But that’s not the point, we could get OtherOS back to the PS3 with the ability of PS Jailbreak, and that will be the best thing happen for anyone who wants Linux for their Playstation 3 console.
