MultiMan was the only thing I had installed. It doesnt work now on the 3.56 because it was ofcourse signed to 3.55 cfw.

Im not banned!, I can go online. I still have my modified patch_mp.ff on all CoD's apart from BlackOps.

Do you still have the option to Update via USB?

Thats cause you modded the game before the update, the only way to actually fix that is if the game it self patches over on that game, same goes for any other modded game, due to the fact of common sense. OFW/CFW is all about firmware not your games, pretty impossible for a firmware to patch a game that was already modded.


Thats why i am staying on CFW3.55 Kmeaw till someone releases a media storage update CFW 3.55 to CFW3.56

Well for now, just do the bypass, and see how long that lasts. In the mean time all we can do is wait for another CFW update. There is still the possibility of "Updating Via Storage Media" so I'm sure there will be another key.

As for updating to 3.56, Ive now updated 2 systems from GeoHots 3.55-jb to 3.56 OFW and still no ban. And I can still host CL's online with ease.

ichve used the geohot 3.55 jailbreak too. today i updated to original firmware via internet, the files i have had use from my internal hdd stayed there but cant boot any more.
homebrew for 3.55 did not works for me on new 3.56.
i dont get banned too while update. i think the update via internet did not search for "custom firmware".
its the same process like you would go from geohot 3.55 to original sony firmware 3.55 back. it does not bann your ps3.
you only get banned when people grief report your nickname to sony and they get a sony signed porcellan coffe cup for they tell names who uses "awesome file manager","open manager" or else without stealth the homebrew programs names or telling to people how to jailbreak when they know each others from internet gaming like black ops or modern warfare etc.
its same you get not banned if you have pirated copy of windows on your laptop, surfing in the internet with it.
imagine how many laptops or home personal computers would be banned per day..... - but thats another book of things people do whats illegal or else.
hope geohot does update his jailbreak for 3.56.
it was amazing what is possible with the ps3 when pkg files can be installed onto it. i vote now for: GEOHOT FOR 3.56 please!!!!!!!

I am doing this
1. Safely updating to 3.56 so I don't get ban when the bypass is patched.
2. Waiting for the 3.56 software to come out as it will do!

I agree, I'm now keeping my other JB's until another CFW is released. But with the 2 PS3's I've updated both had modified content.
All I'm saying is "You can update w/ the worry of being banned", for having modifed content.

just wondering has any1 tried to downgrade to 3.55 from the 3.56.... i would test it but im not home and wont be home for about 6-7 more hours

yes you should always have that there not supose to take that from you....
