Heres my tutorial on how to get mw2 to work on INTERNAL HDD.
Ive spent days with no help and finally got it to work.

I assume you already have your game back'd up to your Hdd already and are using this for Xlink Kai.

Info:

Im using the Bles version (European)
Im using Kmeaw 3.55cfw
Tutorial is for multiplayer only, i can make a single player tutorial if enough people request.
Im not responsible for anything that happens.


What you need:
Kmeaw 3.55cfw
FTP (I use blackbox ftp)
Filezilla
Ethernet cable (You may be able to use wireless idk)
Usb (To install pkg's)

[Text] Tutorial 1:

1. Make a folder called "MW2_GAME" without quotations In hdd0/

2. (Copy or Move USRDIR folder)
hdd0/GAMES/BLES00683/PS3_GAME/USRDIR
to
hdd0/MW2_GAME/

3. Once done it should look like
hdd0/MW2_GAME/USRDIR

4. Download this

Once downloaded extract it with winrar, And you should get a folder

5. Open the folder then open multiplayer then copy both pkg's 1.00 and 1.11. Put these on your Usb and put the usb in your ps3.

6. Turn on ps3 and Go to install package files under Game section and install 1.00 pkg

7. Once installed you should now see a mw2 file under the Game section. Make sure your connected to the internet THEN launch it. It will ask you to update to 1.11 do it.

8. You might get an error when it finished but just go back to install package files and install 1.11 this time. If it says theres already one just do it still.

9. Now launch the new file thats in the game section and thats it.....

nice one but this is a black screen game just let multiman or regero copy the 7gb mw2 to the internal or external hdd then go into any of the 2 managers hover over it the press select and x on the ps3 controller and wait to load easy as.

It works for internal this tut is to un-black screen the game i figured people would know that lol let me edit the post.

how are you planning on playing online with 3.55 if theres no 3.56 update bypass

ok but as we all know that this game is best played online for sure.
as this is a backup there is currently no way of going online since the patch of the proxy and dns we was all using to get our 3.55 cfw online.

He assumed we are using xlink kai, not using psn.
