You need the BDEMU file to run your backups as Dean the creator took it out because he wants to save his ass from legal proceedings.

im on 1.16 right now working great just hit select + x backups running fine.

Dean has removed the payload from the MultiMAN 1.16.00 so the only way you can run backups is by using the Lv2 Patcher manually.

is it to do with blu-ray dvds?

Means you cant run backups without using the Lv2 Patcher or the BDEMU manually, 1.16.00 no longer has the payloads
