i thought that i would upload a patched version of this cfw for everybody, please dont flame, if nobody wants it i will get a mod to remove.

Respected members from PS3ITA forum has managed to create a 3.55 custom firmware that allows you to login into the PlayStation Network (PSN) without having to use charles or ****Psn on your PC. The process are completely on the fly with your PS3 console. Having said that, the CFW is based from the Kmeaw’s version, so whatever homebrew your running right now with kmeaw, it will work with the CFW. The backups are untouched too.

It is recommended to go back to the official firmware first before flashing the CFW although there are a lot of people who reported success by flashing it over Kmeaw 3.55 CFW.

how to install
1 make a folder on root of usb called PS3 then inside the PS3 folder one called UPDATE and place the file inside
2 go to system update, update via usb then follow instructions
3 if it says no update needed place ps3 into recovery mode, i assume most of you no how now

Good job, I could bet alot of people couldn't be screwed with the patching process, so this would help, I was gonna upload mine, but you've done it now anyway :P

Yes it work's, I've tried it myself and confirmed it.

Also, As far as I know, it's Kmeaws CFW, just patched over, so backups should works, but do correct me if I am wrong.

Yea patching PUPs is always a problem for noobs. This should be useful for some people. Good idea broskie. :bro:

Although im sticking with Charles due to being able to play with the console ID and whatnot.
