(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Are there any problems with using a 2tb external hdd with multiman? I've heard some people complaining about crashing through external, and I've not seen any max limit on the size of hdd that MM can handle (thought there'd be one).

I'm looking into buying this:
You must login or register to view this content.

And formatting to fat32 to rip all my games to it. I'd use internal but I'm only on 60gb. So is it worth getting this hdd? Might there be any problems? Sorry if I should already know this but I don't.

Please quote in reply Smile Thanks

1.Ive heard that playing games off a external hard drive is not as fast as internal and it makes the game freeze.

2.and you shouldn't FAT32 a 2TB hard drive. it should be formated to NTFS

No it doesn't. The newest version of MultiMan supports NTFS.

Yeah but it doesn't support writing to the HDD. So I could use it, but I wouldn't be able to rip from disks to it or copy from internal to it.

Im using a 1.5TB Samsung G3 ext hdd with MM and its working great so far. It only freezes occasionally when i delete games from MM then trying to boot other games from the menu after. Had to restart the PS3 and everything works fine again. If your just loading games from MM menu should be fine. 2TB hdd i suppose u hardly need to delete games unless u download all 1/10 or 2/10 rated games available online.
