(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a ps3 slim on 3.55 kmeaw. Its always been my spare ps3 used mainly as a blu ray player in the bedroom leaving my ofw ps3 online in the living room. Ive just been messing about with a few backups and emulators till now.

Ive kept it totally offline since putting the cfw on it, not even connected to my network.

Is it safe to have it on the network so i can use the lovefilm player, iplayer etc... Or will this send a flag to sony?

Im not bothered about psn but i just want to know what you can and cant do with it. Is it worth updating to rebug?

Ive looked around at guides and things and theres a lot of conflicting info and its all getting a bit confusing.

Does deleting the log file and replacing game ids work or still get flagged?

Sorry ive just noticed this is in the wrong forum, posting from my phone and it must have had a spaz.

If a mod could move it please?

it should be safe to do whatever you want, just dont use some features in rebug if you decide to update to it, like the ps store wallet hack.
And it would also be wise to download stealth homebrew apps just to be safe

You will be able to have it on a network, you will be able to use services that dont use PSN, so you will be able to use BBC iPlayer, ITV player, and Channel 4 player, also able to use Web browser. You will NOT be able to use Lovefilm, Vidzone, Quirocity or what ever it called. So the answer yes you can have it on a network, this way you will be able to update you backups as well, say if you had a backup game that is out dated and has glitches and a patch fixes it you can download that patch.
Hope i helped Smile

Thanks guys, I'll get it back on the network now and enjoy the Grand Prix in bed lol

Like I said Im not interested in PSN related stuff, just want to know its safe to get it back on my network for media sharing, iplayer etc...

Gonna spend some time getting new stealthed homebrew, multiman etc... and remove the old stuff I have on there from when the CFW first came out.

Thanks again Smile
