So I have updated my PS3 to 3.55 OFW, now I am not sure which firmware I need to put on it in order to do lobbies. Since there are so many now I dont know what they all mean, like rebug, DBD which do I need to set up lobbies? Once I install the new firmware what is next? How do I data transfer between 3.55 and 3.66? Is there something I must put on my ps3 for that? If someone can tell me EVERYTHING I need to do to get a MW2 lobby up and running with a 3.55 and a 3.66 I'll send you 500,000 vbux maybe more. I need links to everything I will need as well like the firmwares and stuff that i'll need. So I have a 3.55 ps3 OFW and a 3.66 PS3 and I want to run lobbies on MW2 again like I used to. Then install Comgenies Awesome File Manager You must login or register to view this content. from the root of a USB via "Install Package Files". Open it up, and navigate to dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30377/USRDIR on the right hand side. Now get a USB device and put your modified patch onto it. On the left go to dev_usb001 (last three numbers don't matter), and press circle then start to copy the patch to your harddrive. Quit the game when done. Then, to data transfer, disable internet on both systems and connect via an ethernet cable. Then go to Settings>System Settings>ata Transfer Utility and follow the instructions to do the transfer

I reccomend 3.55 KMEAW. Why? Cuz it's boss. And once installed, just go to Derektrotters homebrew mega thread, get an FTP server. Install it on your custom firmware, start up filezilla on your computer, enter the FTP info, which should be on the FTP pkg itself when running, connect, to to dev_hdd0 in your PS3 directories on filezilla, find MW2s region code, and replace the current patch_mp.ff with your desired one, then to data transfer, turn both ps3s off, connect them with a ethernet cable, and the go to system settings on both ps3s, and do data transfer utility. Then select the receiving and giving ps3, DONT SCREW THAT UP!, then start the transfer, and then when it is done, you can go on your 3.66 PS3 and have fun! This was just a quick guide out of my own knowlage :y:

first of as the guy said below you can use any firmware like kmeaw which is really good for backing up games i use multiman as a ftp and i have filezilla on my pc.

right here what to do
1 start mw2 up
2 download 1.12 patch
3 go on to multiman
4 start filezilla up
5 type ip of ps3 into host on filezilla
6 click quick connect
7 go to devhdd_00>game>patch code like bles 00683
8 go into usrdir
9 change the patch_mp.ff make sure the other patch you changing it to is called that as well
10 close down filezilla
11 go back to ps3 go to system setting
12 click on data transfer utility
13 click on number 1 transfer data from this system to other ps3
14 then go to other ps3 go to the data transfer
15 click on number 2 transfer data from other ps3 to this system

and that should be done bud

no they have not bud you can still do cl on ps3 on the 1.12 patch

Thanks for all the replies so far, so I will install Kmeaw's 3.55 firmware onto my 3.55 OFW PS3. Then start up MW2? When you sign in it asks you to update though right? (not sure, not able to use ps3 right now to tell) But then all I do is just download 1.12 patch. And filezilla which I know how to do and everything since I hosted lobbies before. Then I data transfer 3.55 to 3.66 once I have my patch on right? Is there anything I have to do to data transfer? I thought there was a app I had to load that allowed data transfer, since the firmwares are not the same? I will test it out soon just want to understand everything clearly before I go messing around with it.
