Post: Just some info on 4.20 kiosk fw

-Game timeouts (normally 30mins if set)
-afk timeout (15min if set)
-installing new psn content(not to sure on the reason but the activation doesnt go through)
-accessing the store if you have psn+
(way around if your not psn+ go to the cloud upload on saves and hit join psn+ and just switch to game/video)
How to revert: This is what worked for one of my ps3s.

You will need to go into recovery menu to install this or it will error saying its already been installed also the 4.20 from the psn server gives me a error on recovery install as well.
Getting recovery: hold power button until ps3 fully shuts off , keep holding until you hear one beep then a second beep that will beep twice once this happens you will need usb cord for your controller.
If you dont hold a button correct :dumb: it will reset video which can be annoying.
This should fix issues if your stuck on 4.20 kiosk

Have you tried updating from recovery?

Thats your fault for updating to something freaking useless atm, the reason its a demonstration unit is for demoing games for retail stores and to sell the console along with the game.

Ways to fix this wait for the next retail fw update or hope sony releases a patch to 4.20 cause most of the people who updated are stupid :carling:
Just wanted you all to know this before trying to update to the Leet haxor firmware that no one created other then sony and get pissed cause your game stoped playing after 30mins.
Unlock code is 4801 also there is a 15min lockout if your afk , im not sure if all consoles will have this but any ones ive seen in stores do have this feature. so have fun with the MFw cFw haxs
edit:any dlc your trying to use will not run gives a 800 error code if your able to update to 4.20 please do so ill add the link in that works only if your in recovery menu

m8 i updated to kiosk fw and ive had no problems i can still access the store play all my game and have no time out so...............

actually i have tried updating from recovery the firmware off the website will give you a error after it loads to the HDD to install to nor/nand and say its already been installed there is however a fw posted in the universal recycle bin that works for reverting

me any package off the store gave me a signature error saying it wasnt activated from the store correctly i also had random timeouts on mine , great you can use something that does nothing and access the store when it clearly has it blocked from store use , and only way to access is using the join psn+ from the save cloud upload so yea :dumb: cool story
