Proudly presenting these special pups here for dex users... got a dex but cant get tools to use the thing? for example newer BD emu tools and such. well dont fret. i included a set of firmwares here that will take away the pain. once you run the first pup it will convert your box to a "retail" box. you can then install rebug kmeaw etc etc. if you ever want to go back to DEX (debug) then just run the second pup that came with it and viola back to debug. also this all only works on 3.55. kthnxbai.

For those running DEX higher then v3.55, you also might need the special 'downgrade' DEX pup to enable to go back to lower firmware.

For those running DEX higher then v3.55, you might also need this special 'downgrade' DEX pup to re-enable the feature on your converted DEX machine to go back to any lower version of firmware file. -- It only needs to be run once, and then you can install the normal 3.55 DEX PUP afterwards.

Hey I have 4.20 OFW on my ps3, so if i use this 4.20 DEX on OFW will it install or will it brick it?.

Loads of people have asked this, but, I'll explain my situation to you:
I was on 3.55 geohotz cfw a while back (when 3.55 was the highest fw), and when the later version came out, I upgraded. I have upgraded all the way to 4.20, then installed GlitchyJoeys KIOSK fw.. A lot of people are asking this question: from 4.20 ofw, can you install an upgrade/downgrade which will in turn allow you to install .pkgs (such as an ftp?) then in turn, allowing you to install patches?

I'm sorry, it seems like a brilliant discovery, but you may want to include in your original post the requirements, and a F.A.Q (basically if 4.20 can be downgraded/jailbroken WITHOUT an E3 flash)

Ok so your on that joeys guys firmware. The only thing you can do is install something to flash your nand or nor like e3 flasher or progskeet. That joey guy doesn't have the keys. Also you can try the dex pup but it can brick your ps3 and as you don't have a e3 flasher or progskeet you wouldn't be able to unbrick.

Aha, ok but what if I was on 4.20 ofw? Instead of GlitchyJoey's kiosk firmware? I can revert back to ofw any time I want :p
