Proudly presenting these special pups here for dex users... got a dex but cant get tools to use the thing? for example newer BD emu tools and such. well dont fret. i included a set of firmwares here that will take away the pain. once you run the first pup it will convert your box to a "retail" box. you can then install rebug kmeaw etc etc. if you ever want to go back to DEX (debug) then just run the second pup that came with it and viola back to debug. also this all only works on 3.55. kthnxbai.

For those running DEX higher then v3.55, you also might need the special 'downgrade' DEX pup to enable to go back to lower firmware.

For those running DEX higher then v3.55, you might also need this special 'downgrade' DEX pup to re-enable the feature on your converted DEX machine to go back to any lower version of firmware file. -- It only needs to be run once, and then you can install the normal 3.55 DEX PUP afterwards.

Hey what up, Ok so Xx--AIDAN--xX i have some question for you about this...
1. I have a 3.55 CFW (KMEAW) PS3 and a 4.20 OFW one and i was wondering if this CEX and DEX files could help me some way to get for example comgenies awesome file manager or blackbox working on my 4.20 or just in my 3.55 but being able to access PSN.

2. Please talk to me more about whats the concept of this project ur doing or about the CEX, DEX files and what can i do with them.

3. What are the advantages or privileges of having this. ( i dont care getting bricked, just answer all info you know cause i want to learn more about this.)

Uhm really, Tombill_war, You can always type in a bypass code and bypass the ps3 updates.
And Xx--Aidan--Xx, when you are on 3.55 is there any chance of bricking your ps3 then? If so, is there a bigger chance bricking a ps3 4.20 ofw?

I would not use this until you see proof unless you want a bricked PS3 ! I already seen one fake CEX/DEX PUP. Dont do it no matter how desperate you are until you see proof on PS3HAX or other sites & read peoples posts before you even think about it & i mean TRUSTWORTHY PEOPLE ! Where is the real source ?

erm dex mode is like game testing you can run anything you like,install or sign anything to your ps3 you like id advise you to stay on 3.55 and keep your 4.21 ofw and wait till something safe is out

Don't use this "Special Pups" for switching. They are not true switching. True switching require eid0 keys and flash dump to switch from DEX mode to CEX mode and back.

If you have converted your PS3 to DEX, waiting for a couple of weeks would be a safer solution. I believe someone would release a safer true switching guide for NOR/NAND PS3.
