[Tutorial] How to manually React PSN Content for 4.21REX
Credit to niwakun of PS3news for posting this, should help some people out on 4.21 REX.
* Assuming you have 4.21RFW installed and REBUG Toolbox installed.
- Run REBUG toolbox, enable REBUG Mode and exit (console will restart)
- Create a new dedicated user account on PS3. Then register to PSN.
- Download something on PSN that requires activation
Tip: if US account, download Uncharted 2 DLC (it's free BTW) or if Japan account, download Akiba Strip Dynamic Theme (it's free too)
- Now you have act.dat residing on your exdata of your current account home folder
- Now go ftp and browse over >> dev_hdd0/home/00000XXX/exdata
Tip: the XXX is replaced by any number, just browse over the account who had the current exdata folder with act.dat on it
- Backup your precious act.dat somewhere it wont lost, you can use this in the future to pirate PSN Stuff *har
- Now dump your IDPS, you will need that also. You can download the IDPS dumper You must login or register to view this content..
- Now your ready, use the raps file you downloaded over warez sites, convert those files using You must login or register to view this content. and using the unique files on your console, the IDPS and act.dat you can now activate PSN/DLC/PS1/PS2/Minis stuff.
Tip: make sure that the name of the rif file is same with the rap file like
RAP: EP4313-NPEB00087_00-TLEVIATHAN000001.rap
RIF: EP4313-NPEB00087_00-TLEVIATHAN000001.rif
Now transfer it on your PS3 via FTP or something feasible to transfer the rif file to exdata, where you get the act.dat earlier.

IDPS dumper wont work on 4.21 because its not resigned for 4.21, also Uncharted 2 DLC isnt free anymore when I checked. I did download a free dlc that required activation but it didnt activate and give new act.dat just gave me download.
Another way to get act.dat on 4.21 is to deactivate the PS3 via account management via XMB (after signed into PSN. Then reactivate will get new act.dat. If you get 80029519 error when trying to activate PS3, backup saves, trophy etc then delete original account made on ps3, make another account resign in with same PSN account you deactivated with and activate works to get act.dat anyway.
Havent got rap2rif to work with 4.21 (on ME3 DLC anyway), all I used on 3.55 was rap2rif and got a lot of people to use it so something else is going on. I can make rif with new 421 act.dat however ME3 still says DLC isnt detected.

Hi Guys,
You can get your IPDS from a byte reversed version of your flash (dump it from multiman), instructions for getting it are on the PS3 Dev Wiki.
Basically you have to search for the hex string inside your flash and there is 3 values that match your model and region of your PS3 and can be found only once in the dump, this is how I got it the other day and it was very easy.
I can confirm it works as I decrypted some content using it!

So far no problems. All I played was all the CODs, FF-XIII, & FF-XIII-2. All my PSN games like Pac-Man and shit work. Home-brew functions like it's suppose to. Only thing I can't do is QA Flag the system (which I don't need anyway). Give it a shot (if you haven't already). If you're the tech junkie I think you are, you'll love it.

I already have my IDPS from 3.55 (according to cyberskunk IDPS doesnt change because of firmware, it wont change unless you change it yourself)
Anyway thats what i used for rap2rif my new 4.21 act.dat and IDPS (from 3.55) it made rif (didnt work for from ashes DLC mass effect 3, tested another DLC Goldeneye using rap2rif with act.dat from 421 said DLC was corrupted and to redownload it.

Yep my 421 CEX FLASH IDPS is the same as my 355 IDPS which I have been using on rap2rif, so yep it doesnt change (cause its hardware information)
So this didnt help me at all, but will help people who dont want to go back to 355 to dump IDPS, of course idk what they're going to do with there IDPS if rap2rif/Rebug 421 VSH "patched" doesnt work.
