PlayStation 3 connected to your Home Network
You must login or register to view this content. (Click to download v3.41 firmware from Sony)
You must login or register to view this content. (Click for a list of compatible devices)


  1. Start up your PS3 and JailBreak it
  2. Start up PS3 FTP Server on your PS3 and click "Start FTP Server"
  3. Once the server is started, go back to your PC and open FileZilla
  4. On FileZilla, click "File -> Site Manager -> New Site"
  5. Look at the IP Address on your PS3; this will be the "Host" for FileZilla
  6. On FileZilla, the port you will use is 21
  7. The username you will use is FTPD12345
  8. The password you will use is blank (no password at all)
  9. At the top of the configuration window on FileZilla, click "Transfer Settings"
  10. Check the box "Limit number of simultaneous connections'
  11. Set the value to "1"
  12. Click connect and you should be connected directly to your PS3's HDD.

It doesn't give me the option on Filezilla. I go to File and it gives me. "Connect to server" and "Disconnect" and "Quit" what do I do? ):

i go into file but there is no site manager?

there is only connect, dissconnect and quit. what should i do?

-My ps3 is @ 3.41 firmware jailbroken
-I've installed PS3 FTP on my system
-Installed FileZilla
-Followed Directions step by step numerous times

I get to step 11 and when I try to connect

"Status: Connecting to [My Ip]...
Error: Connection timed out
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Waiting to retry...
Status: Connecting to [My Ip]...
Error: Connection timed out
Error: Could not connect to server"

Any suggestions? please help, anyone who can help me out can get into my lobby for free :(

i havent done this but im guessing the firewall is blocking it. turn off your firewall and it should work. to turn off your firwall i do it by going to control panel and clicking windows firewall and i turn it off. when your finished turn it back on. add my psn HEKTIC4LYF if u get it up n running im gna jailbreak sooner or later ill give u sum patches to test

Is this procedure possbile with out connecting to my local network?

I mean cant i just connect my computer and PS3 together with an ehternet cable?
