(Use the AT90USBKEY file, not AT90USBKEY2 or any other file or this wont work..Ignore instructions too, thats an old tut for BlackCat boards.)

1.) You must login or register to view this content.


2.) When installed，go to installation folder, namely Atmel\Flip 3.4.2\usb\, find libusb0.dll and libusb0_x64.dll, copy them to folder Flip 3.4.2\bin


3.) Then plug PSjailbreak into USB port in PC, the red green light will light up.


4.) Meanwhile PC reminds you that unusable unkown device found.


5.) Ignore it, wait for a few seconds, new hardware AT90USB162 DFU will be found, pc asks you to provide driver,

6.) choose USB folder in Flip as the Install Path, for example Atmel\Flip 3.4.2\usb\

7.) then the installation begins.

8.) When the driver is installed, we can write on AT90USB162.

9.) Run Flip, go to Device -> Select..., and choose AT90USB162

10.) Then go to File -> Load HEX File...

11.) Choose the HEX file you want to write into, (Choose one of the files provided at the top of the post)


Attention: HEX must be put in the English path so that it can be read


12.) Then you can see HEX file parsed shown in the left bottom.

13.) Then go to Settings -> Communication ->USB, choose OPEN USB port.

14.) Then the chip is open and ready to be written.

15.) Check HEX File, make sure if it’s the right HEX that you want to write into.

IF YOU GET THE VERIFY FAILED ERROR , CLICK THE "READ TARGET DEVICE MEMORY" TO READ THE CHIP , DO THIS 3-4 TIMES THEN CLICK RUN AGAIN!

16.) Choose RUN in the left bottom, then the chip is being written. It will be done in a few seconds. You will see Verify PASS in the left bottom when it’s finished.

Now the chip has been written. Turn off Flip and unplug the PS jailbreak dongle out of PC.

ok im stuck now i plugged in my ps jb and it says it was found and it is installed to computer so that wizard thing didnt pop up

Read my post, I updated this thread with PSGroove attached which Jailbreaks 3.41 if your running 3.41... But I made another post about two days ago on Jailbreaking 3.50, Well.. Downgrading 3.50 to 3.41 then Jailbreaking.. Provided a HEX code in that tutorial that you'll need to Copy/Paste into any Hex editor such as HxD and save as a .HEX ...

So your computer recongnised it? did it recongnise as a USB Hub or "AT90USB162 DFU" ?
If it said "AT90USB162 DFU" then the driver is already installed.

it was recognized as hub

If it does get recognised then just proceed and install the driver.

If it pops up saying USB Hub then click it and install the driver I provided.

my friend said he used this and it worked...
