multiMAN is a arguably the most popular backup manager around, particularly because it have a better rate of compatibility with PS3 games, big collection of features and not to mention how dedicate the developer (deank) is to update his PS3 application. So, let’s get started with the installing process of multiMAN.

What you will need:

•A 3.55 PS3 with CFW installed. Preferably, Kmeaw CFW, You must login or register to view this content.if you haven’t install it yet.

•USB pen-drive/thumb-drive

•Latest version of multiMAN, You must login or register to view this content.Installation


1.Extract your downloaded multiMAN archive pack above to your USB thumb drive.

2.Make sure that the .pkg file is on the root of your USB thumb drive.

3.Connect your thumb drive to your PS3.

4.Turn on the PS3, and go to “Install Packages” menu at your XMB. It can be located at Games menu.

5.Identify your multiMAN, and the BDEMU package files. Simply install both of them.

6.After the installation, multiMAN will appear on the menu.
7.Open it up, and you will get the idea how to backup, copy and mount your PS3 games.

8.Enjoy the latest version of multiMAN, everyone’s favorite PS3 backup manager




Tips & Tricks:

•Push SELECT and X button on your PS3 controller, and mount it off your external hard drive if there is a game that is not working for you.

NAVIGATION KEYS IN ALL MODES
Navigation in GAME display modes:

[X] – Load/launch a game
[ ] – Delete selected game
[O] – Backup/copy selected game
[/] – Exit to XMB

[L1] – Switch to next game display mode
[L2] – Show options.ini / setup
[L3] – Switch Title Names font size / paths

[R1] – FW 3.41: USB controller patch mode / FW 3.55: Reset game folder permissions
[R2] – Test selected game files
[R3] – Check for program update

[SELECT]+[X] – (INTERNAL HDD) force [Direct Launch Prompt] when disabled
[SELECT]+[X] – (EXTERNAL HDD) alternative mode for “Black Screen Games”
[SELECT]+[L2]/[R2] – change overscan options
[SELECT]+[L1] – change cover mode
[SELECT]+[L3] – force content refresh from all devices
[SELECT]+[R1] – change content mode (GAMES/VIDEO/BOTH)
[SELECT]+[R3] – change current FreeType font
[SELECT]+[START] – launches File Manager

[START]+[R3] – check for game updates

[START]+******** – Previous MP3 song in the playlist
[START]+********* – Next MP3 song in the playlist
[START]+[UP] – Increase playback volume
[START]+[DOWN] – Decrease playback volume

[START]+[ ] – stop music playback (for mp3 and background theme audio)

Navigation in FILE MANAGER mode:

[ANALOGUE STICKS] – Move mouse pointer
[D-PAD] – up/down/left/right moves mouse cursor 1 line up/down (left/right pane)

[L1] – Switches back to ‘game’ display mode
[SELECT]+[L1] – Switch to the game mode before File Manager was launched

[L2] – Page up (current pane)
[R2] – Page down (current pane)

[R3] – Open file in HEX viewer / LV2 memory viewer / LV2 memory save
[R3] – (INTERNAL HDD) Create FOLDER hardlink
[R3] – (INTERNAL HDD) When PS3_GAME selected: Create special shadow copy
[R3] – (EXTERNAL HDD) When PS3_GAME selected: Create BD-ROM mirror to external USB

[X] – Enters selected directory
[X] – Play selected AC3/MP3 file and loads remaining in playlist, view selected PNG/JPG picture (and enters PICTURE viewer)
[/] – Exit to XMB
[ ] – Delete file/folder (use with caution – disabled for PS3 root folders)
[O] – Copy file/folder

[SELECT]+[O] – Move file/folder
[SELECT]+[X] – Rename file/folder or refresh net_host# folder
[R1] – Create new folder

Bottom device icons:

[X] or [L3] – Loads device folders in LEFT pane
[O] or [R3] – Loads device folders in RIGHT pane

[SELECT]+[L2]/[R2] – change overscan options
[SELECT]+[L1] – change cover mode

[START]+******** – Previous MP3 song in the playlist
[START]+********* – Next MP3 song in the playlist
[START]+[UP] – Increase playback volume
[START]+[DOWN] – Decrease playback volume

Navigation in PICTURE VIEWER

[X] – Next image
[L1]/******** – Previous image
[R1]/********* – Next image
[L2] – Zoom In
[R2] – Zoom Out
– Pan
– Zoom
[L3]/[DOWN] – Zoom image to fit width
[R3]/[UP] – Zoom image to fit height
[SELECT] – Show file information
[START] – Starts picture slideshow
[/] or [O] – Exit picture viewer

Navigation in HEX file viewer

[UP]/[DOWN] – Scroll in pages (512bytes)
********/********* – Scroll in blocks (8KB)
[L1] – Seek to start of file
[R1] – Seek to end of file
[L2] – Scroll up one line (16 bytes)
[R2] – scroll down one line (16 bytes)
[/] or [O] – Exit HEX file viewer

LEFT BUTTON = [X]

KEYBOARD NAVIGATION:

In game display modes:
[F1] – [F6] – directly select display modes (1-5 and 6th is file manager)
[TAB] = [L1] (switch to next display mode)
ARROWS = UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT

[NUM+] – increase mp3 volume (select+UP)
[NUM-] – decrease mp3 volume (select+down)
[NUM /] – previous MP3 song
[NUM *] – next MP3 song
