Hey Guys,

I just reccently beat mk9 and was looking through the files of it on my comp. Well then i got bored and starting playing around with it, i swapped subzer0's assets with Scorpions and Scorpions asset with subzer0s. I was wondering if scorpion would take the form of subzer0 and subzer0 would look like scorpion but they would still have there distinctive moves. I packaged the files that i swapped and such but unfortunately i can't test it right now. If someone on this forum would be kind enough to test i would be very happy. I am also quite intresting in unlocking the klassic characters for mk9.

Instructions:

All you need to do is go into the ASSETS folder of mk9 on your ps3 and swap replace the files with the ones in the link, (REMEMBER TO BACK THEM UP FIRST, AS ALWAYS) then replace your PS3TOC.TXT in the mk9 folder aswell.(BACK THIS UP TOO)

By the way if this mod doesn't work of freezes or something, please someone with more knowledge open up a doorway or contribute your ideas on how you think we could mod characters/costumes and all things of that matter.

NOTE: Please do not get your hopes up, as it may not work at all. Also if it doesn't please do not call me a noob or disrespectful things please, i am just trying to mod this game and i can't test it right now.

UPDATE: A Way has been found to unlock the klassic characters!

Just replace PS3TOC.TXT (USRDIR\) and COALESCED.INI (USRDIR\CONFIG\)

Hey all...first off this is NOT my work, just something that has been going back and forth over at psx-scene for a few days and someone finally figured it out.

Replace the files with the ones in the PS3_GAME folder and they are unlocked as the third cosutme

Guess Ed Boon lied about them not being on the disc!

if they alt classic costumes his start on the character and you should have a choice

Hmmm, im not sure maybe you should search it or ask scorpion, but yeah i also haven't tried it at the moment. I will test soon.

hover over the fighter eg. sub zero and then press start and it will bring up a costume select and just go left and right to choose the outfit n these on here look propa old school lol
