MW3 + BO1 Recoveries
I try to put the PS3 into FSM using the E3 Card reader but the light on the card reader just goes red then blinks red again and then about a minute later the PS3 Bleeps and turns itself off.

one problem take sd card out
if that doesnt work
you need the Downgrader.bin

I have done all that too. I have downgrade.bin installed but it didn't work so went and bought a SD card for it and it doesn't work..
