Verify your folder structure:
Fat32formattedusbflashdriveroot/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

and use the furthest right most usb port of the ps3.


You will have to bypass to get on cfw with no bd. Here's how:

1. If you are not sitting on it already, install You must login or register to view this content.
2. From Rogero downgrader, install You must login or register to view this content.
3. Once on the nobd downgrader, open rebug toolbox
4. Go to option "toggle QA" and enable it
5. Go to option "restart ps3 system"
6. Once restarted, you should be able to go under network settings and press (l1,l2,l3,r1,r2,DPADdown altogether) and debug settings should pop up

You are now free to install a (CEX) cfw of your choice, or you can install a nobd cfw.
